Paint a Parrot

Use fingerpaints to make a colorful parrot with your little pirate!

  • ​​We reccommend doing this activity on a splat mat or another area that can get messy! **Hint: Grab a damp washcloth and have it close by for when you are finished with this project!

  • Print off the image of the parrot. 

  •  Show your little one some images of parrots and point out how colorful they are! Even if your child is not yet speaking, this is a great way to engage with them!

 

  • Ask them to paint the parrot with all of the colors!​​​

6 months+ : use finger paints - squirt or glop some onto the parrot and let them move it all around. Here are some taste-safe ones.

10 months+ : let your little ones push their own fingers into the paint and move it over the parrot. 

14 months + : let your little one try and use a feather to paint the parrot!
