Let's Create!

  • Holi (the festival of colors) is a large Hindu celebration in India! This festival celebrates the arrival or spring and good winning over evil! It is celebrated with many colors and people in-fact throw powdered colors onto each other!

  • We reccommend doing this activity outdoors or on a splat mat/ area that can get messy! **Hint: Grab a damp washcloth and have it close by for when you are finished with this project!

  • Fill the balloons up with paint (mix with water to thin the paint out a bit) then:

6 months+ (not yet standing or sitting) : Place the paper on the ground and tape the balloons down on it. Carefully poke small holes on the backside of the balloons (side against the paper). Let/help your little one press down on them and watch as the colors spray!

10 months+(sitting/standing) : Tape the paper onto a wall (or tree if outdoors) ad tape the balloons down on it. Carefully poke small holes on the backside of the balloons (side against the paper). Let/help your little one press down on them and watch as the colors spray!

**DISCARD OF THE BALLOONS AS SOON AS YOU ARE DONE. DEFLATED BALLOONS ARE A BIG CHOKING HAZARD.
