½ cup of vinegar

1 squeeze of dish soap

2 Drops of food coloring

1 tablespoon of baking soda
-
Glitter
-
Jar
-
Cookie Sheet

If desired-observation record sheet
Time to Experiment!
To remove some of the "mess factor," place the jar on a large cookie sheet.
Measure vinegar and pour it into the jar. (This is a great time for your child to help out and work on some math skills)!
Add in some food coloring and glitter!
Add in a squirt of dish soap
Mix in the baking soda
Explain that baking soda and vinegar foam when combined because (fancy word) carbon dioxide is escaping in bubbles!
